Map of the Month - February 2025

February’s Map of the Month shows Buglife’s Yorkshire Important Invertebrate Areas!

Important Invertebrate Areas (IIAs) are places that are home to nationally or internationally significant invertebrate populations and their habitats, with over 100 areas identified across Scotland, England, and Wales. With the permission of Buglife, we share boundaries and profiles of Yorkshire IIAs, mapped here, with our data search service clients as another piece of information to build an evidence base for decision-making. You can find out more about IIAs here: Important Invertebrate Areas - Buglife including how IIAs are selected and mapped, their role in planning, and more.
